It&#8217;s not a big deal, really. Applying them to your Normal.dotm means that from now on, every new blank document you create on your computer will have these settings applied to it.<\/p>\n<p>This is actually a great way to apply settings to custom templates or different workplace or academic documents which have much different styles than the norm.
